How much does a football pitch cost to hire? 

There are multiple aspects to the cost of football pitch hire, such as toilets & changing facilities which are extremely important to any hire, as well as the pitch itself.

Football pitches aren’t all the same and, therefore, football pitches will be priced differently depending on a variety of factors, such as: 

• Location of pitch
• Type of turf
• Size of pitch

And, as such, can vary accordingly. 

Grass pitches, for example, vary from 5 aside – 11 aside and the cost can be anything from £50 per hour to £150 per hour (we do not currently have any of these available to hire).

3G and 2G turf

3G turf will cost more to hire than a 2G turf, due to the following considerations – 

3G astro turf: A 3G pitch uses both sand and rubber infill and is ideal for use as a football or rugby pitch. £G generally has a longer pile (height) and is considered by many to be the best turf type available. 

2G astro turf: A 2G pitch typically has a shorter pile and is suitable for use in a wider variety of sports such as hockey, alongside football, rugby and other outdoor sports.
